9 milion levs will be invested in the central park Kurdzhali

From march 2010 will begin the construction of park "Arpezos-North" in the bed of the Arda river in Kurdzhali. The project will have to be finished by October 2011. The park will be the biggest park ever made in Bulgaria in the center of a Bulgarian city, said the mayor of the municipality - Hasan Azis.

The municipality administration has already prepared the auction procedure, in february 2010 will be chosen the executor for the project.

The building works in Arpezos-North will be for 8.7 milion levs, the park will cover an area of 234 decares. At the moment for every citizen of Kurdzhali there is 19 square meters green area, after finished the new park there will 23 square meters for every citizen.

Acording to Hasan Azis for the construction the municipality will look for additional financing for building an amphiteather with 1200 seats and for the construction of an artificial lake which will be connected with the water mirror in the bed of the Arda river.

Part of the idea is to make "Kurdzhali Land" from this attractions the park will generate income which will be for the maintenance and the development of the city park in Kurdzhali.
