The first retail centre in Bourgas was officially inaugurated on April 24. The facility is the largest in Bourgas, and its 60-million euro investment ranks among the highest in the city and municipal as a whole.Tanya Koseva Boshova, the executive director of Bourgas Plaza, and Dimitar Nikolov, the mayor of Bourgas, were present at the ceremonial opening of the mall on Thursday, an event that drew hundreds of locals.The retail centre aims to attract more than 450 000 customers from the city and surrounding region. More than 90 stores, restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and recreation centres will "provide a sufficient service diversification to satisfy every taste", according to the official press release.Among the famous brands and stores inside the mall are Marks&Spencer, Kenvelo, Benetton, Adidas, Mango, Terra Nova, Intersport and Sport Depo - the largest chain of sports stores in Bulgaria, while Espirit has one of the largest stores in the mall, occupying more than 500 sq m.The German company New Yorker, as well as the British store Mothercare, are also represented.Costa Cafe, KFC, Fancy, Subway, Starbucks and McDonalds, among others, are also open for business.Bourgas Plaza, occupying more than 39 000 sq m in area, is on Transportna blvd. Unusually, it boasts a vast parking area on the roof with capacity for 1270 vehicles."It's an honour for us at Bourgas Plaza that a large international hypermarket chain like Carrefour will open here for the first time in Bulgaria. We aim to create more effective ways of shopping, better recreation and more possibilities for the people of Bourgas and the surrounding region, as well as contribute to the business and local economy," said Tanya Koseva Boshova.
