Bulgaria Changes Image By Developing Golf & Spa Tourism

Bulgaria to be a modern all-year tourist destination, forecasts the strategy for development of tourism till 2013.The tourism revenues in 5 years are expected to reach nearly 8 billion euro.The set in the strategy aims will be obtained through mending of the infrastructure on national, regional and local level, through keeping, preservation and improvement of the tourist resources' qualities.According to the cabinet the effective marketing and advertising of the country as a tourist destination also play important role.Up till now Bulgaria has offered predominantly mass kind of tourism and the potential of the natural and cultural resources has not been used, mark the ministers.In order to change the current image, Bulgaria needs to develop its cultural, SPA, wellness, balneological, rural and eco-tourism as well as the event, sport, hunting and golf tourism.According to the expectations of the government with the implementation of the program the revenues in Bulgaria will grow to 7.9 billion euro in 2013.A tourist is expected to spend 108 euro per day in 5 years. In comparison, last year the daily expenses of the tourist have been 58 euro.
