The Bourgas municipality selected four projects among the nine applications for the construction of a skyscraper in the coastal city.
Competition for submitting architecture plans ended on June 15. Bourgas residents got the chance to review the projects and vote for one until June 21, Darik Radio reported.
The aim of the public selection was to give Bourgas residents the chance to participate in the process, investors said.
Jury representatives and Bourgas residents, however, approved different projects. Experts selected three projects, apart from the one selected by people.
A full project plan would be drafted using the expert recommendations, Darik reported. The Bourgas skyscraper would be 150 metres tall.
The aim of architects would be to prove such tall building would fit in Bourgas's urban plan. At the same time Bourgas residents need to be aware of the investment made and to get the opportunity to approve the final project version.
According to expert predictions the construction of the skyscraper would last no more than three years.
